    Our one to one sessions I will teach you the knowledge and guide you in using the tools of The MindBody Reconnect, tailored to your needs. You will then practice these techniques in your daily life and we will work together to discover your route to becoming symptom free. Generally, most need 8-12 sessions, though some might need less or more.

    Everyone has pain points when it comes to achieving full body wellness. I’ll work closely with you to help identify and overcome your triggers. You will learn how to connect with yourself in the present moment and notice what your body is communicating with you in the form of symptoms or emotions. I will guide you to the appropriate action to take to keep yourself physically and emotionally safe and fulfilled.

FAQs

what happens during your session?

All sessions are given remotely using Zoom and are 1 hour long. How often? At first they will be weekly then moving to every 2 weeks as you practice the techniques and develop new habits. How many therapy sessions will I need? Everybody is different so it varies greatly but most people need 8-12 sessions.

can mbr technique help me even though my illness/condition is not listed?

Absolutely! MBR Therapy provides you with a invaluable 'tool kit' to help navigate life in a happy, healthy way. Also, reconnecting the mind and body can support the body to heal whatever you are experiencing, but you should always consult a doctor about your symptoms before coming to us.

is mbr cognitive behavioral therapy or psychotherapy?

No. MBR Therapy focuses on the causes of our symptoms and the messages our body sends us. Whereas, CBT, focuses on changing thought patterns, which often doesn't get to the root of the problem and can leave you with more frustration and anxiety. Instead of focusing solely on the mind, MBR Therapy draws on information sent from the mind and body, our two intelligences - the thinking brain (mind) and the emotional brain (body).

are there scientific terms for the mind body connection ?

Psychoneuroimmunoendocrinology (PNEI), which was first described in 1936, is the study of the interactions between the psyche, neural and endocrine functions and immune responses. Psychoneuroimmuniology (PNI) is the term used to describe the interactions between the emotional state, nervous system function, and the immune system. 

Does this treatment involve a special diet or supplements?

Though having a healthy and balanced diet will contribute to the benefit of our wellness , MBR does not specifically focus on diet and nutrition.

What happens at the initial discovery session?

The initial Discovery session is complimentary and will last 30 minutes. During this time, we’ll review the client information form you completed before the appointment. This information allows me to determine how MBR might assist you in your recovery. We’ll also discuss the MBR program and techniques in detail, along with the science behind the Mind-Body connection. Everything will be tailored to your pace and individual needs. There’s no pressure to commit to MBR; it’s important that you feel comfortable with this approach and with me as your practitioner. It’s essential that it feels right for you!
